Street sweeping rules change during major holidays in San Francisco.
San Francisco Department of Public Works (DPW) cleans Cervantes Boulevard regularly to keep the city free of trash. Make sure your vehicle is not parked here during the restricted hours on Thu 1st & 3rd and Tue 1st & 3rd. Enforcement usually starts strictly around 12. Finding a new parking spot can take 15-20 minutes, so plan ahead.
A $90 sweeping ticket is bad, but getting your car towed is much worse. Many streets connected to Cervantes Boulevard become 'tow-away zones' during morning and evening commute hours. Always read the whole parking sign. If the sign says 'Tow-Away', your car will be removed immediately.
