Street sweeping rules change during major holidays in San Francisco.
Parking in San Francisco can be tricky. If you park on Lower Great Hwy, you must move your car on Tue 1st, 3rd, 5th and Mon 2nd & 4th before the sweeper arrives. SFMTA parking officers are very strict. Even if the street sweeper has already passed, you cannot park there until the restricted time (usually ending around 13) is completely over.
